Hanging out with the Obama's....
WASHINGTON D.C.So not sure if you all know this but Momma and Poppa are close friends with the Obamas. Here is a picture of Uncle Barack with Charlie Pants and yes that's our uncle Abe in the background...he loves to sneak himself into pictures.
Last Monday, we spent family time in Middleburg, VA it was so peaceful. Our next trip was the opposite of peaceful... Washington DC on a holiday. There were buses everywhere, tourists everywhere, kids running, hot dog stands and so much more. We decided to avoid as much of the chaos as possible by sitting near the Washington monument... Well at least that's what we thought we were doing. Charlie Pants has a thing for squirrels.. I used to but I got over it.. I'm a little bit more sophisticated now. Anyhow, Charlie saw one of those furry squirrels and took off. Poppa took off after him but he is so fast. The squirrel went up the tree and lost balance and fell 2 feet away from Charlie. Lucky for the squirrel, poppa had grabbed Charlie's leash by then - otherwise it would have been a different ending.
We spent some time hanging out and then decided to come home and take a family nap. We LOVE NAPS! Tomorrow is the big day... Treatment #3 Cytoxan
